We managed to bag a place on the rally through sheer chance! As the normal way of getting a place is like winning the lottery, we decided to apply for Tom to be a marshall at the 2007 Rally launch day in Hyde Park, as they were offering a guaranteed 2008 place in return, what a deal!
They couldn’t offer him a place there! but did offer him a marshalling spot at the raving launch party the night before the Rally set off! So there we go! that's how we bagged our lucky spot on the 2008 Mongol Rally!
We are lads from Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire Universities, very friendly, and love random crazy adventures! |
